It Started With a Vision…

Salt & Light was born out of a dream — 

Salt & Light Church began with a dream — a vision to plant a church that wasn’t just about religion or routine, but about encountering Jesus in a real way.

In a world filled with noise, burnout, and shallow connection, we felt God calling us to create a space where people could be seen, known, and transformed. Not just another Sunday service — a Spirit-filled family on mission.
From our earliest gatherings in [living rooms / borrowed spaces / a small rented venue], we knew we weren’t building a crowd — we were building a community. One marked by authentic faith, bold worship, and a deep love for people.

We’re still just getting started — and we believe the best days are ahead.

What We’re Built On

The Bible

The Bible is a steady anchor for our hearts. It helps us see who God really is, gives us power to live out our faith, and shapes us to become more like Jesus.

The Community

We meet once or twice a week at church, but the rest of the time we’re out in the community. Whether we’re together or apart, we’re living with purpose. We care about community because we care about people — and God does too. He sees people as the most special part of His creation.

The Neighbor

Jesus didn’t suggest that we love our neighbors — He told us to. We care about our neighbors because they matter. We live near them for a reason, not by accident. God placed them next to us on purpose.

The Family

We value family because it’s like a small community God created to help us grow in faith, love each other, and teach kids about Him. Whether you're single or married, your family can show the world what God's love looks like.

The Body of Believers

We value the body and its many parts. No one has every gift to offer, but everyone has a gift to offer. We believe the church is healthy and beautiful when Christians know what their gifts and talents are and know how to use them within the context of the church and in their everyday lives.

Meet Pastor Luke Edgerton

Pastor Luke is a husband, father, and passionate communicator of God’s Word. With a background in both ministry and mentorship, he carries a heart to reach people where they are — especially the next generation.

He’s not just here to preach on Sundays — he’s here to walk alongside people, equip leaders, and build a church where faith comes alive in everyday life.

Our Setup

We do three things:

Sunday Gatherings

We come together on Sundays to worship with music, learn from the Bible, take communion, and pray for healing. It’s also when our kids’ ministry, called “Little Lights,” has fun and meaningful activities for babies through 5th grade.

Table Gatherings

Table Gatherings are small groups that meet during the week in people’s homes. We share a meal and make space to grow in our faith and learn more about following Jesus together.

Prayer Gatherings

These monthly prayer gatherings are an all-church call to prayer and a forum to train Christians to move out in the things of the Spirit.

Our Culture

Jesus is at the center of everything we do. Our leaders help guide the church, our staff supports the mission, and everyone in the church has a part to play.

Word Centered

We focus on God’s Word and place strong importance on things like communion and baptism.

People Oriented

We’re a church that cares about people and loves spending time together. Building real friendships is a big part of who we are.

Spirit Filled & Spirit Led

We want to be a church that’s filled with the Holy Spirit and led by Him. We welcome His presence, His gifts, and His power in everything we do.

What We Believe

We believe in the Gospel of Jesus Christ — His death, burial, and resurrection — and the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives today.

We hold to historic Christian orthodoxy, with a bold and Spirit-filled expression.
