WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Bible

The Bible is God’s true Word. It was written by people but inspired by God. It shows us how to live, what to believe, and helps us understand who God is. We believe the Bible is perfect and still matters today.

1 Corinthians 2:13, 2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, 2 Peter 1:21

God (The Trinity)

We believe in one God who shows Himself in three ways:

1. God the Father

2. Jesus the Son

3. The Holy Spirit

All three are fully God, work together, and have different roles.

Exodus 3:14, Deuteronomy 6:4, Isaiah 43:10 and 11, Matthew 28, John 8:58, 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

Jesus is God’s Son. He came to earth, was born from a virgin, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, came back to life, and now sits in heaven. One day, He’ll come back again.

Matthew 1:20, Mark 16:19, John 1:1, 14, 3:16, 20:1-2,
1 Corinthians 15:3-5, Hebrews 2:17,
Galatians 4:4, Philippians 2:8, 1 Peter 3:22

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit lives in those who follow Jesus. He helps us understand God, gives us strength, and teaches us how to live like Jesus.

John 14:16-26; Romans 8:9, 26;
Ephesians 4:30; 1 Corinthians. 12:7-11; Hebrews 10:29

Sin

God made people in His image, but we chose to disobey Him. That disobedience is called sin. Because of sin, we were separated from God and face death—both physical and spiritual.

Genesis 1:26, 27; Genesis 2:17; Genesis 3:6;
Romans 5:12-19

Salvation

We can be saved because of what Jesus did. When we turn away from our sins and believe in Jesus, we are forgiven, made part of God’s family, and given new life that lasts forever.

John 3:3, Acts 4:12, Ephesians 1:7,
Romans 5:10, 8:14-17, 10:9-10, Titus 3:5-6

The Church

The Church is made up of everyone who believes in Jesus. Local churches are places where believers gather to worship, grow, and help others know Jesus. The Church is like a light to the world.

Matthew 16:18, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Romans 5:1, 5, Ephesians 1:22-23, 4:11-17, 5:27, Revelation 2-3

Jesus Is Coming Back

Jesus will return one day in power. He’ll judge the world, defeat evil, and make everything new. His return gives us hope and encourages us to live for Him now.

Isaiah 65:17, Matthew 24:30, Acts 1:11,
1 Corinthians 15:50-54, 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17,
Revelation 19:11-22:21

Hell

Those who reject Jesus will face God’s judgment and be separated from Him forever. This place of punishment is called Hell.

Matthew 25:46; Mark 9:43-48;
Revelation 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8

Spiritual Gifts

God gives believers special gifts through the Holy Spirit. These gifts help us serve others and share God’s love until Jesus comes back.

Romans 1:11, 1 Corinthians 1:5, 7, 12:1, 31,
1 Corinthians 14:12,

2 Timothy 1:6-7, Hebrews 6:5

Our Beliefs About Today’s Issues

Gender

God made us male and female. That identity is a gift from Him. We don’t believe people can change the gender God gave them. Some people may be born with unclear physical traits, but they are still created and loved by God.

Genesis 1:26-27, Matthew 19:4,
Mark 10:6-7, Psalm 139:14

Marriage

Marriage is a lifelong promise between one man and one woman, with God at the center. That’s the only kind of marriage we support and perform.

Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4; Ephesians 5:25; 1 Peter 3:7

Race

God made all people equal. He loves every race and background. Racism is wrong. We believe the Bible—not man-made ideas—shows us how to treat others with love and justice.

Mark 12:31; Acts 17:26; Romans 2:11; Revelation 7:9-10;
2 Timothy 3:16-17

Life

Life is a gift from God, starting at the moment of conception until natural death. We believe every life matters and we oppose abortion and euthanasia.

Genesis 1:26-27; Job 31:15;
Psalms 22:10, 127:3-5, 139:13-16;
Jeremiah 1:5; Acts 17:25
